Letter from the Board President

Welcome to the Cathedral Home web site. I hope you have enjoyed your virtual tour. Since you have arrived at the donation section of the website, I will address some of the benefits of giving and some of our needs.

All donations are tax deductible and are greatly appreciated. As a long time board member and current Board president, I can safely assure you that your donations are carefully spent and always with the children as the first priority. As one staff member put it “I know my office will always be in the basement and the kids will have first rate cottages. That’s why I work here, because the kids always come first.”

Planned giving is an excellent way to ensure the future of Cathedral Home as is making a donation to the Endowment Fund. These donations will make it possible to serve children for another 100 years.

In kind donations are also welcome. Children often come to us with little in the way of clothing. Graduates need furnishings for their first homes. The Horse, Wilderness and Bike programs can always use extra equipment, horses and bikes. We can also use cars. For more information on what donations can be used, contact our development staff.

Our next big project will be the construction of a cottage specially designed for our deaf students. This cottage will have all the alterations that make life safer and easier for these students. Visit our website for developments and more information on fund raisers and naming opportunities for our new cottage.

Thank you for your interest and donation!

Linda Nydahl
Board President
