Enrichment Programs

Native American Program

The Native American Program is geared primarily toward the Native American students who attend Cathedral Home, but is open to others. Approximately 1/5 of CHC’s current student population is Native American and this program allows them to maintain or develop contact with their culture.

Two staff members from the Wind River Indian Reservation mentor this program which includes Unbroken Spirit (a drum group), visits from With Eagles Wings (mentoring group from Wind River), a sweat lodge, and opportunities to attend powwows around Wyoming, and to have speakers, such as Delores Jimerson, to visit campus. Recently, students toured the Capital in Cheyenne and visited with Wyoming State Representative Patrick Goggles, the first Northern Arapahoe member of the legislature.
