ACES

ACES (Albany County Expelled and Suspended Students) is a choice for families whose student has been suspended or expelled and they are referred by the school. ACES is designed to help students stay on track academically while providing support to the family.

There are two pieces to the program: 1. The student attends school at LYCC during the expulsion or suspension; 2. The family advocates meet with the family and support their needs. Research has shown that students who participate start getting better grades, have better attendance and fewer problems at school.
